Dankjewel, haha. Na al die pogingen kwam ik terug bij deze die ik je niet had laten horen. :(
Sorry. :P

I have to say u have a nice piece of music here but in my opinion it needs to be tweaked here and there. So I hope this review will give u a helping hand but remember that's it's only my opinion most of the time.

The Good:

- kick is promenent and that's good in this genre. it's a nice kick to listen to and to gives this track a lot of drive so good job with that one
- bass: good sounding bass I would say it's even better then the old basses that where used in eurodance.
- piano really nice the piano and adds a lot of depth to this track in my opinion.
- melo: it's catchy it's easily to remember and it sounds good so yeah nice job on that one as well.
- the structure u used in this track is used a lot already, I'm putting this under good cause u used a structure and it prepares the listener to what's comming next. but by creativity of it it lacks a bit since it's used a lot.
- nice translitions nothing to say really just well done.

The Not So Good:
- In my opinion the intro was a little bit to long I would have cut it at 0:40 when the melo is played fully just to give the rest of the track a bit more power when the kick kicks in.
- The break was actually really bad, it was just the same generetic bass as in the rest of the track with the kick, I would say here is the most U could improve since it makes the track pretty repetive.
- as for the second part when the lead starts to kick in, well not a really big problem but I would suggest u add something to make it even better cause it's basicly the same as the 1st part of the track.
- then u have a verry fast translitions to the part where it seems the lead is 1 octave higher I would work on that a bit as well since the translition is good but it feels like the lead kicks in to much forced then it should be.
- also the clap is barly noticable in the whole mix while that's also one of the most import things to keep tracks like this going. U did a great job with the hihat but the clap lacks power.

so to conclude this list I would say that it sounds decent but not really special and when it comes to the break and the second part it starts even to be a bit repetive. As what I would give u as tip is that u add a melo in the break maybe witout the bass and the kick and add in some pads. as when u repeat the whole thing u use that melo ontop of the second time u repeat the melo in the climax. this way u have a fresh sounding break and also a fresh sounding climax.

If u have any questions then please don't hesitate to ask them

TuneDown responds:

Thanks for the review! I'll make sure to take what you have said into mind :)
And yeah, the clap is actually a snare haha. For some reason i found it abit hard to make it stand out :/

Before I start I would like to clarify that I'm not a dubstep lover but this still got my attention.

The Good:

-the vocals for some reason seem to fit really well and is a nice addition to the track
- the drums are clear altough the kick it's self is buried a bit under the bass sounds the snare really gives it a nice vide.
- nice uplifters in the background, not to big but also not to small.
- percs and earcandy is good u add some nice stuff in so now and then.
- mastering: didn't hear any problems there so should be fine

The Not So Good:

- structure: it totaly lacks structure, like ectisity said it sounds like 1 big drop altough u try to add some variations to it but it's still the same kind of instruments playing the same melo over and over again.
- sounds: one of the most promenent bass sounds doesn't sounds so good. It's not a really big filfty sound that I would expect. Even if u want to make it more chill and easy listening like then I would suggest u work on that sound. I would say it's to clean the sound and to high ( doesn't have a lot of bass in it) and maybe add some disortion to it.
- pads: It would be nice to hear some pads in the background to fill up the little spaces a bit u can also use them in the buildup and in the break.

tips: this kinda depends on what u want with your music but I would suggest u put one of your fav artist his track into fl and look at his structure. U can also look and hear really nicely how they make a big rising builup before the dubstep parts kick in.

all in all a decent track that needs some work here and there but I think this will give u a good example of where to work on and where not to worry to much about.

as said in the begining of the review I might think differently cause I'm not that familiar with this genre, neither did I give it a good shot but that's more taste I would guess.

Good luck with your next projects and don't hesitate to ask questions :)

ps: leuk om weer een nederlander hier te zien

What you said is very helpfull and you give me really good advice !
I am going to work at it and i know i am going to suprise you later on in my new projects.

Better say this. V2 on IDUBYOU is commin cause alot of advice i have for this track now.

That Filfty part is a hard part and want to get to know it but it is hard cause it makes the track unclean very fast.

I really apreciate that kind of review ! Really helpfull.
Thanks again !

*^_^* Greets PrognoiseBIG!

ps: nogmaals, bedankt voor je tijd , word zeer gewaardeerd. Je review is echt klasse ! =)

If u change te saw into a big saw lead that would be awsome. I love your kick, perc's and hihat's. the bass is really nice as well same counts for the melody.

Pretty curious if u are gonna change some stuff or make a full track out of this :)

Mea-Anima responds:

I'm going to start with this very soon I think. Right now I got another project I'm working on and today I made a new track and posted in on newgrounds. It's still a WiP but that's going to get priority over this one too. But I'm definitely going to continue this.

Wow it sounds really cool, keep up the good work and u will become big someday. And u deffo deserve a place in the Audio Portal so I scouted u for the AP :)

mematron responds:

Thanks dudebro!

missing the snare a bit, i know it's there but it's a bit too much to the background of the track. and would love to hear some parts of the intro in the rest of the track cause it starts really good then u get the climax which repeats itself too often and then it gets bored actually. love all the sounds and the mastering.

Keep it going ;)

SoundHawk responds:

I can understand with the snare comment. Most of my works I use a heavy snare, but as this was my first try with a DnB type track, I used a few different percussion sounds. The intro was a focus for me since it was one of my favorite parts of the original track. With the rest of the song I tried to make a great loop for Drum and Bass, and now the I think about it, working in parts from the intro would have been a nice side. I normally do these things in my other tracks, so maybe you'd like those! Thank you so much for all the comments though, mastering has been something I'm working on perfecting, so to hear that is great! Stay Tuned!

I'm hearing a lot of potential in your work and that is alway's good. I think in this track what I'm missing are some hihat's, claps and the kick doesn't have a lot of power ( missing the punchy part of it).
also some more variations could help as well, miss a bit the break part cause when the kick starts in your track it keeps sort of going until the last min but because it's not so powerfull it isn't really driving the track.

I do at the other hand like the bass, the arpy melo, the pads and the piano.

ReWired responds:

I went back and made the kick punchier so hopefully that helped :)
Thanks for the review!

all the background sounds sound like Tron :D
but really relaxing stuff keep it going ;)

D-Chain responds:

Lolz ik ken alleen tron legacy dus.. kan me niet goed herinneren of de background geluiden in die film zitten xD

U Sir deserve all my stars, this is amazing I really love it. U should be famous and this should be played at a lot of big events. hats down. Good job and keep it going

D-Chain responds:

Thanks bro!!

mixing does sound really good just like the vocals. missing a klimax or atleast something that will drive the track. but all the sounds are good some do sound wierd a bit but are still good in there way.

so overal good track just missing a bit of drive.

Keep it Going

spot1techno responds:
